We Are Not Alone

January 29, 2018

Do you ever feel like you are alone in your struggles?

If this isn’t the case for you, it is for me. It’s not all the time, but there are moments when I feel like it’s just me against the world, and everything that CAN go wrong IS going wrong.

Even though I have my spouse, sometimes it feels like I’m alone in my battle. I don’t know how I’m going to make it through the next month. I feel weighted by stress and worry on top of the daily grind of life. At times, it even feels that in the midst of my struggle, God is distant and waiting for me to conquer this battle. However, I know this isn’t true, even though it may feel like it in that moment. I know that even though I may feel alone, God is right by my side.

The scripture in Zephaniah 3:17 reminds us of God’s promise to us: The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”

This scripture is there to show us that no matter what part of the battle we are in, God is there right beside us. He’s helping us, picking us up, encouraging us, and strengthening us.

No matter how down, broken, and beat up we feel, WE ARE NOT ALONE. God is there alongside us at each and every part of our journey. Even though we may not see, He is helping us push past the negativity and is speaking words of encouragement, love, and faith to us. He is continually wrapping His loving arms around us as He says, “You can do it.”

God knows our dreams and our hearts’ desires, and He hears our prayers of desperation. He WANTS us to lean on Him . . . to rely on Him. He doesn’t want us to stumble through life by ourselves and without Him. He WANTS us to need Him.

God wants us to each have victories of triumph in our lives, but He wants to do it with us. All we have to do is lean on him. Everyday. If we put our trust in Jesus, He will be there.
