Summery Patriotic Home Decor :: Tiffany Bonilla

June 07, 2019

Two things I love: beautiful home decor and patriotic holidays.

So as you can imagine, when I came upon Tiffany Bonilla’s summer dining inspiration on Instagram several weeks back, her lemons-and-flags-themed decor gave me ALL the warm feels! While I’ve always loved patriotic looks for summer, incorporating lemons brings in a summery element that adds the cheeriest burst of sunshiny vibes.

We asked Tiffany if we could share her beautiful work with you, and she graciously agreed. Get all the details below, and may you be inspired for your summer home decor as much as I have been!

P.S. What’s your favorite or go-to way to decorate your home during the summer months? Let me know in the comments; I’d love to hear!

Tiffany: Maybe because lemonade is my favorite, but I’m currently loving all things lemon for summer. With the Fourth of July right around the corner, I also love patriotic decor, so I did both!

The plan after the Fourth is to remove the flags and let the lemons finish out the summer.

One thing I added later was layering in these vintage plates I found at Goodwill that have different parts of our great country on them. I thought it added a subtle patriotic touch and a fun way to remember and represent the different parts of the USA.

Also, I took a 4×6 flag off its pole and framed it in a gold/cream Dollar Tree frame. I love how that turned out. Also from Dollar Tree are the lemons and lemon vinyls framed and added to the tin. The wreath and lemon plant are from Wal-Mart. The ribbon for the napkins, I got from Amazon, and just did them in a “firecracker” design. ?
