My town is lacking a Target.

I know, it’s heart-breaking.

Needless to say, anytime I am within 30 minutes of a Target I try my best to make a stop. Not long ago I found this versatile, terry cloth dress at Target, but it was just above my knees. However, my friends, I have discovered the wonder of the skirt extender — and I am so happy I did!

The straight dress paired with frilly lace adds a feminine flair to an otherwise plain outfit and the mixed textures add much-needed interest. Accessories are a cinch with a basic gray dress like this one, because anything goes! I was inspired by the mustard and gray combination of the Dainty Jewell’s Whimsical Sweater Dress and decided to add a chunky mustard scarf with plenty of fringe. I love fringe. I’m not sure why, but maybe it can be chalked up to being born in the 80’s.
