Charming Touches

April 01, 2015

Happy April, friends!

Each wedding has its own tasteful flavor: it’s as simple as 1 – 2 – 3.  By taste, I don’t mean sweets and treats, but style and decor. That first impression that your guests get a glimpse of through the style of your wedding is what they will taste throughout your wedding. Let’s say, since weddings are all about love, that your guest will feel the love at first sight — which is why I am personally charmed by the taste of a wonderland wedding.

The basics of wedding decor is an attention-getter. From color, material, to lighting all ties in together to make one style statement. For a wonderland themed wedding, the green moss in the photo really shouts “wonderland.” I’m in love with the tea-light candles hanging from the moss-draping branches. It also sets an enchanting mood in the atmosphere. The rich green and blue colors blend well for an earth tone scheme.

A combination of eye-catching arrangments will give your wedding the exact vibe you want it to have.  This combination of birdcages, clocks, picture frame, and tea cups will communicate wonder at first sight.

I love the idea of bridesmaids carrying something else other than a flower bouquet. The pastel blue lanterns are adorable and flows with the theme of this particular style. The lanterns are even topped with a small, cream-colored arrangement of flowers.

On the table setting in the photo above, moss is used as a tablecloth. Using moss adds to the enchanting forest appearance.  It is important to always use an arrangement of colorful flowers along with the moss since it is a flowerless plant. I also love the tea-cup sets and dinner dishes. Using different floral and solid dishes that blend well together brings a playful impression to the setting.

This oh-so-lovely cake makes me smile!  It is so cute!  Once again, the moss is a must.  I love the moss and flowers that hug around the wood stump.  Even the cake’s icing is made to appear like wood bark.  This rustic, earthy decor all complement the cake well and is topped with, of course, love-birds!

Whether your wedding is a wonderland of earthy, rustic decor, a roaring 1920’s theme, in a county meadow, or saying “I do” on the beach, let the first impression of your decor be flavorfully memorable.
