My husband and I recently celebrated three years of marriage.
They have been wonderful and challenging years full of ups and downs, tears and laughs, and lots and lots of memories. Oh– so many memories!
For our anniversary trip, we decided to take a three-day trip to Seattle, Washington. I had never been to Seattle; but Preston, my husband, assured me that it was a beautiful and wonderful place to visit. He wasn’t wrong! Preston and I met up with some friends that live up this way, and were able to catch up with them. We had an absolute blast and made so many more new memories together.
There are SO many wonderful things in Seattle to explore and discover! Not to mention the shopping! (I actually did very little shopping and did more exploring, but the things I did find were great.) Our hotel was literally a block from Pike Place Market, so we walked there every morning for breakfast. The view was absolutely gorgeous! We could see the water and port for our hotel room window. The weather was chilly, gloomy, rainy, yet marvelous all at the same time!
We saw all the tourist-y things such as Pike Place Market, The Gum Wall, The Ferris Wheel, and the Space Needle, and one museum, The Museum of Pop Culture. My favorite was Pike Place Market. There were so many different booths there to see and observe. One booth would be serving fresh caught fish, while the other was selling beautiful, colorful tulips. Then there were ALL of the amazing little food nooks on Pike Street. I mean, seriously, there were cultures of all kinds that was serving their food. There were so many bakeries…oh my…the smells were divine! I ate much more than I should have, but who’s counting. 🙂
Besides the food, which was one of my absolute favorites things, we took the train to various parts of Washington and really got to see what it’s about. Preston and I are already talking about the next time we come out to Seattle! It was that great. There is so much beauty and great things to see here! If you ever get a chance to go out to Seattle or the North West area, swing by Seattle. You won’t be sorry!
