A Few of My Favorite Things: A Gift Guide

November 26, 2018

Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is just around the corner!

One scripture has been on my mind recently, Philippians 4:8:

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

For some, this may be difficult during the holidays. For others, it comes easy. Whichever group you find yourself in this year, I challenge you to be intentional about finding the pure, lovely, and good things as you spend time with those close to you and celebrate Christmas and the end of another year.

Don’t get too caught up in the busyness of the season to stop and think of your favorite things!

This holiday season is definitely my favorite for many reasons.

It reminds to be thankful and makes the blessings in my life more evident. It reminds me how much I enjoy spending time with my family and making memories.

I love the decor and lights, the cold weather, the boots and sweaters, and the homecooked meals and desserts. I could go on, but I’m sure you get it!

Even if I’m having a bad day or something doesn’t go quite as planned, as the song says, “I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don’t feel so bad.

These are definitely a few of my favorite things!

And in the spirit of sharing my favorite things, I know some of you are still doing some Christmas shopping. (Some of you have yet to start your shopping. . . . You know who you are!) I want to help you out!

If you’re looking for something to gift a friend or family member, or need some stocking stuffer ideas, then keep reading.

Today I’m sharing some of the things I love to use or wear. I’m sure you’ll find something on the list worth gifting!

A Few Of My Favorite Things

Let’s start with some of the products I love for my skin. A girl’s gotta treat her skin well!

Moisturizing Eye Balm – Skin Care Apothecary

I recently discovered Skin Balm Apothecary and this amazing Moisturizing Eye Balm. It promotes lash and brow growth, and believe me . . . It works! This little eye balm is a perfect stocking stuffer or gift for a friend.

Deodorant Cream (Activated Charcoal or Grapefruit Lemon) – Little Seed Farm

This may seem like an odd thing to gift someone, but I would be happy to find it in my stocking or a gift basket! I love this natural, aluminum- and baking soda-free deodorant cream from Little Seed Farm. It smells great and works! I became a true believer when I used it prior to working out. My favorite scents so far are the Grapefruit Lemon and Activated Charcoal. You can even try a sample for free here.

Elegant Hair Pick – Dainty Jewells

I use this Elegant Hair Pick in my hair almost every day! I love the simple, pretty design and color. It adds a little something special while also holding my hair in place.

Elite Lady Skirt & Top Set – Dainty Jewells

I absolutely love the Elite Lady Skirt & Top Set from the Dainty Jewells Fall 2018 Collection! It’s beautiful for every season and a go-to for any event. It has such a flattering fit, and it’s two pieces so it can be mixed and matched with other skirts and tops. If you’re shopping for a daughter (or maybe you’re a husband who’s been sent here by your wife), this would make a wonderful addition to the gifts beneath your tree.

The Classic SportSkirt – Mod Sportswear

The Classic SportsSkirt from Mod Sportswear is currently my favorite activewear skirt! I’m in the gym 3-4 times a week and have pushed this skirt to its limits. It stays in place, keeps me modest, and is super comfortable. I usually weak ankle-length leggings under it for extra coverage when needed. If you have a fitness-lover or athlete on your gift list (or know someone who’s planning to focus on health and fitness at the beginning of the year), then this is the gift for them! It comes in Youth – 5X sizes and in multiple length options.

Hidrate Spark

This water bottle is a must for anyone wanting to make sure they’re drinking enough and staying hydrated. The Hidrate Spark syncs with an app and keeps you on track for intake goals. It glows, y’all! It glows to remind you to drink if it’s been too long, and I love it! This is a fun and healthy gift for anyone in your life.

Full Focus Planner – Michael Hyatt

This planner. I love it. It’s not your typical, girly planner, but the Full Focus Planner by Michael Hyatt has been a game-changer for me! Its quarterly planner you can get on a subscription with everything you need to accomplish your goals, create new habits, and be successful. This is a great gift for anyone! (So girls, you may want to be this for the guy in your life . . . )

Everyday Backpack – Peak Design

This is the backpack I finally settled on for my camera and laptop. The story here is I got the 30 Liter in Charcoal for my husband for Christmas last year, and it’s been his favorite gift by far. A few months later he surprised me with the 20 Liter Everyday Backpack in Ash and I understand why he loved it so much! The design is clean and simple, and the storage is amazing!

I hope you’ve enjoyed looking through a few of my favorite things!
